to train DOGS Victoria members in the role duties and responsibilities undertaken by a steward, ticket writer, show manager or show secretary
to provide opportunities to them to gain practical experience
to improve the proficiency and diligence of all such officials
to provide advice and guidance to DOGS Victoria members and affiliates in regard to show preparations, arrangements, duties, procedures and the general conduct of shows
to assist conformation trainee judges with stewarding experience
to act as an advisory body in matters akin to our role
to propose apt and viable suggestions and comments to the management committee and its pertinent subcommittees
to educate exhibitors and show officials in our crafts and role
to encourage interest and suitable people to participate
to maintain acceptable standards of ethics and practices
We are a respected organisation, also acknowledged for our expertise and worth in the show world. Membership, which currently numbers approximately 50, comprises many of the best show officials.
